Are you looking for a way to extend the science opportunities for students in your primary school?
The Snapshot Science Club offers sessions for KS2 children which:
- enable the children to develop their enquiry skills
- are linked to the skills covered in the 'Working Scientifically' sections of the 2014 KS2 science curriculum
- provide excitement and inspiration
The sessions are designed and ran by me - an experienced secondary school science teacher and curriculum designer who knows how to engage children and to help develop the skills they will need in order to progress in science.
I am also available to run classes during PPA time or for consultancy on implementing the new curriculum.
If your school is in Hampshire or the surrounding area then please contact me for more information.
"The opportunities given to the children during science club were both engaging and exciting but most importantly intriguing. The children were forever asking questions and developing their own lines of enquiry. The children identified causal relationships which helped them to question and explore further. Science club is a fantastic opportunity for the children to work as scientists."
Miss G Biddle, KS2 science coordinator
"Science club provided the pupils with the opportunities to experience science in a whole new way! Working in smaller groups and with less constraints on resourcing meant the children could really explore the fun and dramatic world of different scientific phenomenon. And they loved it! Pupils could not wait for each weekly adventure."
Mr N Darch, year 6 teacher
"My favourite (and it was hard to pick) was the ice cream making because it involved lots of fun but we learned about about reflection of materials and insulation. And we got to eat some yummy food!"
"My favourite activity was the balloons because it was funny when we stuck it on the wall. I don't have a least favourite but it was hard making the rockets. I loved all the activities!"
"My favourite was the balloons as it is so much fun and they are definitely life time memories"
